This new winter and its festive occasions are glittering in fairytale splendour. As per usual? A little more in actual fact, and for more than one reason. On the one hand, the Swiss watch industry is reaching fresh peaks of creativity and its export figures continue their dizzy climb. An appropriate mountaineering symbol in a country that has twice as many 4,000m+ summits as there are hours in the day. Moreover, this snow-capped transition towards the year 2007 represents the seventh year of a steady ascension for GMT, with a new breakthrough toward the Urals and the Alps. The XXL version of GMT is being published as of this winter in Russia and the Ukraine, while an XXS version of our magazine, specifically intended for women, has just been launched in French-speaking Switzerland. Plenty of interesting reading next to a cosy hearth or on a beautiful sunny terrace at the bottom of the ski runs.
