GMT is ten years old and we would like to thank our readers for their faithfulness, as well as expressing our gratitude to the watch brands whose creations have enlivened these thousands of pages over the years, and of course to the specialised retailers who have contributed to circulating the magazine. When the Swiss watch industry closes ranks to face adversity, it inevitably emerges from such trials stronger than ever. As a modest partner of this magnificent “dream-making” discipline, we also naturally spare a thought for the suppliers who are struggling to survive in these tough times. Without their commitment to this industrial fabric, Swiss watchmaking simply would not be what it is today. The 100 pages of this GMT Stars&Snow spanning the transition from 2009 to 2010 provide a selection of these wonderful creations, as well as the finest highlights of a year that brought considerable difficulties – but fortunately also a wealth of hope and concrete tokens of a determination to forge ahead. We hope your wrist will meet its ideal match and that you will revel in the visual delights displayed throughout this issue.
