At the start of this year, HYT took the trend to a whole new level by presenting the Skull, a concept representing a complete break with what we are accustomed to seeing. The brand now chooses to highlight the unmistakable shape of this unprecedented creation by unveiling a new version\u2009: the <strong>Skull Maori.<\/strong> Its entirely hand-engraved and polished skull is inspired by the tattoos and tribal motifs of this indigenous population of New Zealand. The standout feature of this model is the eyes that appear to be looking right at you. The right eye, which serves as the power reserve, grows gradually darker as the 65-hour power reserve dwindles, while the left eye conceals a running seconds disk. Nor are those the only unusual features of the Skull, which also dispenses with a minutes indicator \u2013 a daring decision taken by the Hydro Mechanical Horologists who thereby opted to give pride of place to the capillary.
