Since last year\u2019s take-over by businessman and collector Cesare Cerrito (President) and watchmaking professional Ricardo Monfardino (CEO), an in-depth makeover has been undertaken, of which the most clearly visible aspects are an exclusive new caliber and production centralized around the new loft-style headquarters in Geneva. The strategy elaborated there gives priority to quality and to the original values of Meccaniche Veloci. Less references, more attention to details, a powerful and original personality, technical substance presented in a simple manner\u2009: such are the leitmotifs applied to the eight models presented at Baselworld and powered by the exclusively developed MV88-01 quadruple timezone movement visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. Its oscillating weight shaped like a car wheel further reinforces the ties with the automotive-motorbike world, also evidenced in the piston-shaped case featuring four valves housing the counters indicating as many different timezones, product partnerships with the Brembo and Suomy motorsport equipment manufacturers, as well as\u00a0 a dashboard-inspired design.
