When one is at the wheel and the other a co-driver, pole position leads to a podium finish. In tribute to his friend Jean Todt who was celebrating 50 years in motorsports at the glamorous Chantilly Art & \u00c9l\u00e9gance car event sponsored by Richard Mille<\/strong>, the latter developed three limited series in his favorite color. While the RM 056 Jean Todt 50th Anniversary was issued in a limited edition of just three timepieces featuring a sapphire case, and only five of the eponymous 050 have been made, the RM 11-03 Jean Todt 50th Anniversary Flyback Chronograph<\/strong> thankfully comes in a run of 150. This eminently high-tech, sporty model with its flyback chronograph activated by generous pushers reminiscent of racing car pedals, stands out by the azure blue shade of the material coating its case. Skilfully mastered by Richard Mille<\/strong> for several years, and notably in its chromatic variations, Quartz TPT\u00ae coated with blue resin forms a bodywork worthy of F1 motor-racing technology : 600 layers of 45 micron-thick silica endow the case with resistance inversely proportional to its weight. All of which prompted the President of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration International de l\u2019Automobile to state : \u201cI love watches designed by Richard.
