One of the brand’s iconic models, the Tesla Skeleton Tourbillon, is a concentrated blend of fine mechanical watchmaking and comtemporary design featuring a ribbed skeletonised baseplate, sandblasted and bevelled bridges, rhodiumed gear wheels… These perfectly finished parts are intermingled with blue, green and red electric cables, Tesla coil, copper wires and electric resistors. The movement arrangement is clearly inspired by the work of Tinguely and his talent for mixing and layering materials. Complete with Artya’s signature famous lightning-struck case and the strap made of matt black cane toad skin, this tourbillon certainly shakes up traditional fine watchmaking traditions. The equally unconventional Snowflake Diamonds clearly stems from a similarly exuberant imaginative vein. Its 47 mm steel case adorned with a total of 450 diamonds features an amazing gem-set motif composed of white diamonds evoking gently falling snowflakes simply held in place by wires.

The crazy Artya saga continues with timepieces that are as wild as ever and bear the hallmark of Yvan Arpa’s hair-raising creativity.
