Moser &amp; Cie at the Entrepreneur of the Year awards<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>H. Moser &amp; Cie<\/strong> sponsored the prize-giving ceremony of the Swiss \u201cEntrepreneur of the Year 2013\u201d competition organised by Ernst &amp; Young, and in doing so paid tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit inherited from its founder. After 20 successful years at the head of his watch business in St. Petersburg, he returned to Switzerland where he distinguished himself by modernising the infrastructure in his home town of Schaffhausen. The current competition honours men of his stature in five different categories. H. Moser &amp; Cie, for whom this participation appeared an entirely self-evident choice, presented an exclusive watch to each of the prize-winners. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FHH : A Tribute to Passion <\/strong><strong>and Talent<\/strong><br \/>\nEach year, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) and the Julius Baer bank honour two personalities for their contribution to the prestige of the watch industry. The \u201cHommage \u00e0 la Passion\u201d prize was awarded to Walter Lange, the man who in 1990 orchestrated the revival of A. Lange &amp; S\u00f6hne that had been wrested from his family after World War II. The sheer strength of his conviction has enabled him to restore it to its former glory. The \u201cHommage au Talent\u201d prize went to a brilliant watchmaker with the ways and means to combine mechanical complexity and temporal poetry\u2009: Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Piaget and the young people of the HEAD<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Piaget<\/strong> and the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD) have consolidated their recently signed partnership on behalf of students of Jewellery, Watch &amp; Accessory design with the awarding of the Piaget Young Talents and Piaget Watch Workshop prizes. The former was based on a freely chosen topic for students with a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree taking part in the Young Talent competition\u2009; and a Miss Protocole and jewellery-watch projects for third-year Bachelor\u2019s degree students involved in the Workshop. The three prizes in each of the categories were presented by Mr Philippe L\u00e9opold-Metzger, CEO of Piaget, in the experimental area of the FLUX Laboratory. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gc\u2009: Dream Ambassadors<\/strong><br \/>\nAs part of its \u201cRealize your dream\u201d advertising campaign, the <strong>Gc<\/strong> watch brand is launching a TV spot ad shot in Turin, Italy. It features the up-and-coming stars of the English group Amore, especially tenor David Webb and mezzo-soprano Victoria Gray, respectively wearing a Gc-1 Class chronograph and a Gc Mini Chic. Gc and Amore are driven by a desire to share their respective fields of expertise \u2013 Swiss watchmaking quality and opera \u2013 with the broadest possible audience.
