The photographer of time

Swiss photographer Karine Bauzin has produced the official portraits of some of the greatest watch industry executives, but her work goes far beyond this. Whether architecture, communication, watchmaking, children’s portraits or snapshots capturing slices of life, her photographs appear to dialogue with her interpretation of the moment. In the wake of her meeting with photographer Raymond Depardon, she also regularly works with the most important international publications and is occasionally involved in social reportage. During her recent journey around the world, she developed a thread related to the tradition of Swiss watch exports, asking people she took pictures of in the countries through which she travelled : “What time is it ?” Karine has entrusted our publishing company, GMT Publishing, with promoting this ongoing project (as she continues her travels). In the first phase, her shots featuring watch owners all over the world are staged to announce the creation of our international club for watch owners, which will be launched in 2019. The Fine Watch Club will host its members in a Geneva gallery, of which the opening next spring will provide an opportunity to exhibit this series of themed portraits. Our lady readers wishing to join can register on fine-watch-club.com.
