A glance at the dial of this highly complicated model is liable to send watchlovers into overdrive, but no worries : the new Triple Split is more legible and user-friendly than it initially appears. Provided they are not too overwhelmed by realizing the technical prowess at work behind the scenes, wearers can smoothly and easily time comparative measurements for anything between one sixth of a second and 12 hours ! This world-first accomplishment in the field of mechanical horology can serve a number of practical purposes : comparing the performance of two competitors in a Formula 1 rally ; measuring the difference in times clocked up by two marathon runners ; or timing the outbound and return legs of a long-haul flight. To facilitate readings, the hours and minutes counters feature two pairs of hands, each including a blued steel split hand. There are of course also two seconds hands. This triple split function is complemented by a tachymeter scale and a power-reserve indicator, to be experienced at the heart of an elegant 43.2mm white gold case.
