Known for its watches equipped with skeleton-worked in-house movements, Armin Strom took the watch industry by surprise with a timepiece such as has rarely been seen before. Its Mirrored Force Resonance model is based on the established principle of resonance, but with an all-new approach. This physical phenomenon relates to the natural synchronization of two oscillating entities, in this case two complete watch regulating organs. Instead of simply allowing the bodies to harmonize via to the exchange of vibrations, Armin Strom has coupled them via a clutch spring. This large and slim component is attached to both hairsprings, thereby accelerating and enhancing their synchronization, an approach that yields two key results. The first is improved chronometry (timekeeping precision) that is quickly and easily achieved as the two balance wheels continually balance each other. The second is aesthetic, since Armin Strom has decided to reveal all through the dial side : the clutch spring, the balance wheels and the double small seconds display. The effect is spectacular, especially in this Water execution distinguished by its steel, white and blue colorway.
