Presented this fall in six versions, the brand-new timepiece from the Parisian fashion house offers a new take on the customary design codes for women’s watches. The Boy·Friend follows on from the classic Première watches created in 1987 by Chanel and whose shape that has now achieved iconic status was a nod to the famous N°5 perfume bottle-stopper, itself inspired by an aerial view of the Place Vendôme in Paris. Featuring a discreetly understated design based on straight, pure lines, this new watch dedicated to women draws inspiration from men’s wardrobe staples that were beloved by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Equipped with a choice of mechanical hand-wound or quartz movements, the Boy·Friend features a finely guilloché opaline dial graced with a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock and adorned on the 18K white gold version with 66 diamonds. This model with its black alligator leather strap and finely curving case featuring satin-brushed and polished finishes embodies a subtle blend of contemporary and classic styling. Reflecting Gabrielle Chanel’s desire to emancipate women, the Boy·Friend is intended for women looking for dependable value.
