Two years after celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak in feminine version, Audemars Piguet once again invited Carolina Bucci to work on a special model revealing an unusual face of the brand’s most famous collection. In this 300-piece limited edition unveiled this spring, the Italian designer dares to shake up one of the signature codes of the Royal Oak. The famous “Tapisserie” dial is replaced by a fascinating mirror dial. Creating a striking contrast effect with the brilliance of the case and bracelet in yellow frosted gold, the dial plays with the light and reflects the environment of the woman wearing the watch. This represents a first in the collections of Audemars Piguet which is introducing a wealth of new models this year with the Royal Oak Frosted Gold Carolina Bucci Limited Edition. Applying the frosted gold technique to yellow gold in order to achieve that very special sparkle resembling diamond dust is also a first. What’s more, it is the first time at Audemars Piguet that a watch bears the name of the person who designed it – literally engraved on the caseback. A signature that is also aesthetically reflected in the presentation box of the Royal Oak Frosted Gold Caroline Bucci Limited Edition, which bears the Audemars Piguet logo in frosted gold.
