A century after its creation in 1910, and 45 years after it switched into standby mode after the death of its founder Jules Picard Cadet, the Geneva-based brand was relaunched at Baselworld and presented a first collection of three automatic models. Proudly proclaiming its roots in Geneva, formerly symbolised by a boutique on the Place du Molard, Picard Cadet produces its watches in its native city. The first collection, evocatively named “Les Intemporelles” (the timeless ones) features tonneau-shaped steel or pink gold cases enriched with a wealth of details, including gemsetting on certain models. Men are offered a choice between a three-hand model with date and a chronograph with date. The finely crafted dial glows with a black sunray effect swept over by two asymmetrical silver-toned lozenges indicating the dance of time. The Lady edition of GMT will highlight the astonishing Métamorphose model with its fascinating evolving case.
