Ring of Fire

Using the sky’s wide range of colors from day to night as inspiration for its latest high-jewelry collection, Les Ciels de Chaumet, jewelry brand Chaumet is set on bringing dazzling colors to our lives. The Soleil de Feu series in particular, which uses brilliant-cut diamonds, red Burmese spinels, mandarin garnets and yellow sapphires to emulate the bright shades of burning sunsets, showcases the brand’s deftness in handling precious stones and gold. The collection features incredible high jewelry creations, including three flying tourbillon watches with grand feu enamel dials created by Anita Porchet, renowned enamel artist whose work include métiers d’art pieces for Patek Philippe. Her enamel work is unparalleled, especially in these models, with color gradients ranging from shades of yellow to fiery oranges and reds. The dial is beautifully decorated in swirls of rose gold with a millegrain motif on the tips and set with a yellow sapphire, pink spinels, mandarin garnets, rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds. Below the precious stones spins a flying tourbillon hand-painted to match rest of the dial – making it as vivid in animation as it is in color.
