A book on third millennium watches ?

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of GMT in 2020 and WorldTempus.com in 2021, GMT Publishing began work last summer on producing a major book focusing on watchmaking across the first two decades of the third millennium. Intended to become a reference work in contemporary watchmaking literature, this generously sized and beautiful book brings together the best watchmaking experts on the planet who offer an insiders’ view of this extremely intense period in the history of watches. Slated to appear in an XXL format (what else ?) and scheduled for November 2020, this 300 or so-page book is divided into 20 thematic sections, presenting the watch industry highlights of the past 20 years. Mechanical and design trends, major innovations, the rise of independent brands, women’s watchmaking – and even what hasn’t changed – compose a collector’s book developed in several languages, as well as a who’s who of the movers and shakers in the third millennium of watchmaking.
