Artya : Tired of wearing just another watch ?

Those who have been following the atypical path that ArtyA has walked since its creation in 2009 know it amazed the watch world with the initial ‘Son of a Gun’ collection. Entirely manufactured in Geneva and powered by a high-end Swiss made automatic movement, its latest release is called the ‘Son of a Gun traditional 11 bullets’ featuring eleven sharp bullets without the cartridges. Five different patents are registered to protect this world-first talking-piece.The bullets are literally caught between the 2 sapphire crystals and read like 11 indexes for a very strong look. Both on the dial and the case, a target sight is engraved to remind owners to focus on their targets in life. All bullets were shot using a patented process. They have no more explosive power except for the power of the look it will have on any wrist. Through the open back, 3 cut-off magnum cartridges balance the oscillating mass.

Featuring just one single lucky bullet that rapidly spins around the dial with each move of the wrist, the ‘Son of a Gun Russian Roulette’ benefits from the new classic 44 mm ArtyA case with lateral ArtyOr inserts. The multi-layered dial reads like the barrel of a revolver and true to the dangerous game of Russian Roulette, it contains only one real single (lucky) bullet cartridge, set by hand. The high-end Swiss hand-wound wound movement is partly revealed when peeking through the double layer barrel-holes. It has been completely redesigned and skeletonized by Yvan Arpa. A third barrel is revealed at the back of the watch completing the pistol picture. Commenting about those extraordinary 2014 Baselworld launches, Artya’s founder Yvan Arpa stated: “Guns don’t always kill people, time always does.”

With the Son of Sound limited edition and its impressive guitar shaped case, ArtyA pays tribute to the world of music – and particularly that of rock. The dial with its 3D lucky charm glass splinters make for an earshattering rock’n‘roll performance. Not for nothing, ArtyA christened it ‘the Son of Sound Broken Glass limited edition’, which is protected by seven patents. There is nothing figurative about the tuning pegs as they activate the Swiss made Woodstock chronograph movement made by Concepto that has been protected by a unique and patented Active Tuning Pegs System (ATPS).

Aimed at watch enthusiasts with less extreme taste, the ArtyA Microcosmos Tourbillon features a new tourbillon movement in a new white gold case, just as amazing tropical butterfly wings and gold leaves delicately laid down on the dial. The original Concepto movement was completely reengineered and designed by ArtyA. ArtyA unique pieces provide not only time but also a very powerful statement.
