Lionel Meylan – Maverick Geneva

A new Lionel Meylan boutique in Vevey
A 125m2 area transposing both tradition and contemporary design. This might be how one describes the new boutique that Lionel Meylan and his team have just opened in Vevey’s old town. More than 250 guests took part in the inauguration of this jeweller’s – the second by the same name – which carries three prestigious new brands (Breguet, Bulgari and IWC). From the lapidary polishing stones, or the gemmologist presenting his fascinating trade, to the watchmaker giving up his place so that guests could try their hand at the subtle, delicate wheels of the movement, the provided all those present a chance to journey into the realm of the watchmaking and jewellery expertise cultivated by of the House.

Maverick Geneva at the Grand Hotel Kempinski
A maverick in Geneva ? This is how Maverick Geneva – which opened mid-November within the prestigious precinct of the Grand Hotel Kempinski – likes to describe itself. The new boutique is the initiative of Gérard and Alexis Gouten – known and recognised for their talent in the realm of Swiss distribution of some of the most promising independent young watch brands – and Frédéric Comotti – reputed to be one of the most respected boutique directors in Geneva. The aim of the new boutique is both to promote some of the most prestigious brands, but also to exhibit some of the most avant-garde watchmaking masterpieces and original, refined jewellery creations, some of which are on show in Switzerland for the first time
