For almost 30 years, Frederique Constant has distinguished itself through its leitmotif relating to the quality/ price ratio of its creations, as well as its elegant and classical approach to watchmak-ing. Such is very much the case with the Slimline Moonphase Manufacture Stars, entirely developed in-house at its Geneva-based Manufacture. For brand co-founder Aletta Stas, “it’s an elegant fusion of femininity and artisanship resulting in a graceful ladies’ timepiece wrapped around your wrist! The combination of curves, mysteriousness and brilliant white diamonds is an anthem to true grace and style.” In this model available in steel or gold-plated steel versions, harmony is not just a word, but is subtly expressed through complex finishing details. The eight diamonds circling the sunburst dial are interspersed with baton-type hour-markers at the cardinal points, gracefully swept over by slender hands enhancing legibility and untroubled by the discreet sprinkling of stars in a choice of silvery or pink gold shades. The moon-phase disk at 12 o’clock is visually echoed in the spherical shape of the generous crown that is facetted to ensure smooth handling of time-setting as well as winding the automatic movement. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, this new Manufacture FC-701 caliber shines brightly beneath exquisite circular graining and a Cotes de Genève motif. Enchanting inspiration for countless fairytales !
