LOUIS VUITTON – The Damier in Blue

Few patterns are as widely recognizable as Louis Vuitton’s Damier canvas. As old as the Eiffel Tower itself, this motif was designed in 1889 during a time of effervescent French creativity. After many years and different variations of the famous pattern, the Damier Canvas remains as prominent as ever and has indeed become a status symbol in its own right. As part of the Louis Vuitton empire, the illustrious pattern now finds itself on the dial of the Tambour in the Tambour Damier Cobalt Chronograph. Available in two versions, steel or steel coated in midnight blue PVD, the Tambour Damier Cobalt Chronograph’s dial bears the Damier checkerboard motif, while the brand’s signature “V” is boldly printed across the dial. In white and red on the all-steel version and white and pink gold on the blue PVD version, the iconic “V” is a graphic element that lends itself nicely to the sporty-chic nature of the Tambour’s design. This Tambour Chronograph comes with easily interchangeable straps to suit every style and mood.
