Renowned for their impressive stature, Panerai watches are also known for their staying power, with a substantial power reserve that proved indispensable to the Italian navy divers who could already rely on the eight-day autonomy of the Angelus calibre in the mid-20th century. Now produced in the Manufacture Panerai in Neuchâtel, Calibre p.5000 guarantees the same power reserve for the Luminor Marina 8 Days 44mm. Fitted on a generous satin-brushed mainplate featuring diamond-polished angles, its 127 parts visible through the sapphire case-back make a fascinating sight of which one never tires in 8 days. The case with its famous design comes in steel and red gold, admirably framing the optimal readability of the double superimposed dial.
