The use of bronze for the case of the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Bronzo was one of the highlights of the SIHH 2011. Reflecting the maritime world that has inspired Panerai ever since its origins, this copper and tin alloy is corrosion resistant and each piece becomes unique over the years thanks to the natural patina acquired by this material when exposed to air and damp. Another treasure to have emerged from the vaults of the “Laboratorio di Idee” is the new Manufacture P.3000 movement, notably equipping the Luminor 1950 3 Days, as well as the new Luminor Composite and Radiomir platinum watches. This hand-wound calibre is distinguished by twin barrels, a variable-inertia balance and a solid, generously sized structure (161 / 2-ligne diameter, 5.3 mm thick) with broad bridges. The model presented is fitted with a leather strap that has been given a vintage look to accentuate its resemblance with historical pieces.
