The UR-110, presented for the first time in 2011, adopts a daring and sophisticated exterior featuring displays with bright red accents against an all-black backdrop. The titanium case is topped by an opulent titanium bezel and fitted with a leather strap. The panoramic dial features the original planetary complication. A central tower ensures the stability and balance of the karussel which drives the rotation of the three hour modules. These satellites spin on their own axis and their arrow tips take turns moving along the 60-minute arc of a circle. The movement also powers a small seconds display, a day/night indicator and an oil change indicator – developed by Urwerk to warn the owner when it is time to have the watch overhauled. The back reveals a glimpse of the two turbines regulating the automatic winding system. The UR-110 PTH is issued in a strictly limited 20-piece edition.
