Poetry is always based on a technique. When metric and rhythm are not involved, it can rely on gear trains and gemstones. Van Cleef & Arpels maintains the creative momentum of its Poetic Complications as it continues along the orbit that began with its Midnight Planétarium. The new mission was to bring an enchanting miniature solar system to women’s wrists. The Lady Arpels Planétarium features a distinctively feminine size and gemsetting liberally adorning its white gold case. It houses a module exclusively created for the brand and capable of transforming the dial into an astronomical observatory, with the hours represented by a shooting star. The other indications provided are the annual orbits in real speed of Mercury, Venus, the Earth and the Moon. Each of them is a more or less precious mineral. The star-studded night sky is made of aventurine. Concealed on the back is a calendar, the indispensable driving force behind this celestial ballet.
