What better partnership could one imagine than that between a luxury watch  brand and a vintage car race ? Zenith has become Official Timekeeper of the Historic Endurance Rallying Organization, better known as HERO. To mark the occasion and in the wake of its 150th anniversary in 2015, Zenith is dedicating a 100-piece limited edition to this partnership designed for seasoned drivers : The El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Hero Cup Edition. The HERO logo stands out clearly on the 6 o’clock dial, just below the opening serving to observe the iconic El Primero caliber beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. Its dominant red color is elegantly picked up in the stitching of the leather strap and on the central sweep-seconds hand notably involved in the tachymeter function that is useful in determining the racing speed of a car. The winner of the HERO cup will be awarded one of these timepieces. May the best driver win !
