Opus 12
Movement: mechanical hand-wound 45-hour power reserve Case: white gold Diameter: 46mm Functions: hours and 1/12th hour by a system of double rotating hands, animation of the 12 hour hands with each change of hour, animation of the minute hands every five minutes, retrograde five-minute display, power-reserve indicator and small seconds, 45h power reserve Water resistance: 30 metres Caseback: sapphire crystal Strap: black alligator leather
This exceptional timepiece deliberately overturns the perception of time by drawing inspiration from the Copernican revolution according to which the earth spins around the sun as well as on its own axis. The passing of time is no longer displayed by a pair of hands placed at the centre of the dial, but instead by 12 pairs of hands pointing inwards from the dial circumference and thus drawing attention to the center of time. A retrograde hand synchronized with the main minutes hand moves along a five-minute segment, at the end of which it flies backwards to its initial position. This option runs counter to the generally imperceptible onward motion of time. Every five minuts and at each change of hour, the movement executed is a highly elaborate drill exercise featuring the successive rotation of the various hands.
Stemming from the original and ingenious creative talent of Emmanuel Bouchet who worked in close cooperation with designer Augustin Nussbaum and the House of Harry Winston, the Opus 12 represents a complete break with all conventional rules. This watch that is truly audacious to the very tips of its hands does away with the chamfering characteristic of traditional watchmaking and instead opts for a shotblasted finish that strengthens the surfaces and lends a resolutely contemporary style. The aesthetic is in tune with the Harry Winston heritage : the emblematic arches are reminiscent of the neoclassical arch topping the famous storefront of the Harry Winston Salon in New York, while the openworked hands evoke the skyscrapers of Manhattan. A fine reinterpretation of time and of the architecture of the city that never sleeps.
A concentrated blend of innovation and design, the Ocean Sport collection welcomes a new timepiece ready to win the hearts of men of character with a taste for high-tech models and sophisticated designs. The Ocean Sport Chronograph Limited Edition in Zalium asserts its sporting spirit and its sophisticated nature. The use of this material which is harder than titanium and extremely corrosion-resistant sets a high standard for performance and propels this model firmly into the age of cutting-edge technology.
Housed inside a case with a notched rotating bezel, the movement drives functions displayed around a dial skilfully designed like an extension of the iconic House arches. The chronograph function is given ample space via the complex cone-shaped open-topped minutes counter, while the hours counter takes the form of a disc sliding partly beneath the dial. This sporty, cleverly structured and powerful timepiece also features a design with resolutely masculine touches: graded shades ranging from black to white through anthracite and light grey, subtle blue accents… Aesthetic sophistication is combined with extreme technical refinement to instil boundless energy into 44 mm-diameter model that only 300 connoisseurs will have the pleasure of wearing.

Celebrating the passion for fine craftsmanship and intelligent manual dexterity, Harry Winston marries watchmaking with the art of feather-making to create Premier Feathers, watches with a unique dial that appears to have emerged from a wonderful dream. Following in the wake of the very first watch collection launched by Harry Winston, these new models reflect its key design codes : a delightfully curving case embracing the wrist and ensuring an inimitably sensual feel, along with three arches reminiscent of the neoclassical vault above the famous storefront of the Harry Winston Salon in New York.
On each of these four models, the dial is adorned with a marquetry motif created according to the time-honoured tradition of feather artistry that used to embellish hair adornments and the lavish garments of kings, fine ladies and noble knights. To create these exceptionally refined dials, Harry Winston has called upon the talent of the feather specialist Nelly Saunier, one of the last remaining artists to master this technique. This virtuoso artisan selects the finest feathers, cuts them where necessary and places them on the dial surface under a magnifying glass. Each dial, which takes around seven hours to make, is one of a kind, like the 16th century feather mosaics. The feathers appear to quiver like a noble, living and delicate material, beautifully matched by a subtle diamond setting – since this collection is also a tribute to the famous Cluster setting invented by Mr. Harry Winston. The meticulously cut precious stones nestle snugly against each other, thereby entirely concealing the material beneath to form a sparkling uniform backdrop. This precious aesthetic effect celebrates the passion of the House for artistic crafts and its determination to perpetuate ancestral skills.
