The name Carl F. Bucherer has been synonymous with quality, innovation, and passion since 1888. Founded in Lucerne, this modest Swiss family business has grown into the internationally renowned Bucherer brand with its own worldwide chain of stores. The Bucherer Group remains family-run today and is currently in its third generation. Watches and their movements are developed and manufactured in the company’s own workshops in Switzerland.

Launched at Baselworld 2015, the Manero Tourbillon impresses with a blend of elegance and technical finesse. A circular cutout in the dial at 6 o’clock offers a view onto the fascinating moving heart of the tourbillon. The date is shown with a third hand. The numbers change position at 3 and 9 o’clock, enabling comfortable reading. The in-house Manufacture CFB T1001 movement is endowed with a comfortable 70-hour power reserve, which is displayed on the power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock. The upper dial is complemented by a 24-hour display at 12 o’clock. The traditional complexity of the tourbillon takes on a contemporary interpretation with the concisely positioned wedge-shaped index hour-markers, the bold lettering and digits typical of Carl F. Bucherer, along with tapered hour and minute hands. This elegance is skillfully carried through with a luxurious case made of fine rose gold and, for the first time, with a satin-brushed dial in a velvety brown color, especially created for Carl F. Bucherer.

For the first time, Carl F. Bucherer is taking part in “Only Watch”, the prestigious auction of unique timepieces from selected brands, which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2015. The one-of-a-kind Manero ChronoPerpetual OnlyWatch 2015 is specially made of pure white gold. The date of the auction, November 2015, is embossed on the black dial in a striking red, complemented by an elegant black alligator leather band. Documenting its uniqueness, an engraving on the case back reads : Only Watch 2015 – Pièce unique – Fabriquée en Suisse. The Manero ChronoPerpetual combines the perpetual calendar with a complete chronograph. The complexity of such a timekeeping mechanism makes this watch an even more unique masterpiece.

Successfully launched in 2014, the Pathos collection features a uniquely exciting design. Its 2015 addition is the Pathos Rose Gold, made entirely of warm and glamorous 18-karat rose gold. The precious metal accentuates the distinctive aureole design, which is the hallmark of the Pathos collection. Artfully embedded in the case, the filigree halo of the aureole reflects the light in countless fascinating facets. It comes in two different versions, with a wave design or filigree grid. The exquisite dial comes in precious, scintillating mother-of-pearl or with delicate ornamentation against a pure white background. The case shines in clear rose gold or set with sparkling diamonds. Also made of finely crafted pure rose gold elements, the Pathos bracelet harmoniously rounds off the composition of the timepiece.

Peerless and convenient functionality, clear time orientation and unpretentious design

For the tenth anniversary of the Patravi TravelTec line, Carl F. Bucherer unveils an impressive new member of the family   : the Patravi TravelTec II. The unique combination of a triple time-zone display and self-winding chronograph now comes in a bold compact case. This extraordinary Manufacture-made movement was developed in-house and is unique in the world. The nine applied hour-markers on the dial identify the first time zone. An outer ring on the dial makes it possible to read the second time zone. The hour digits for the third time zone appear clearly readable on the bezel. The ample size of the triple time-zone display makes it enjoyably easy to glance from one to the other. The model’s characteristic monopusher enables rapid, user-friendly switching between East and West travel directions with a single push of a button. Another special feature of the Patravi TravelTec II is that the date display can move forward as well as backward when changing the hour setting. Adorning the case back is a time-zone sun, which shows the hour differences of 24 cities versus the prime meridian, with Lucerne – the home city of Carl F. Bucherer – accentuated as a black engraving.

At once elegant and impressive, the Patravi ScubaTec in rose gold embodies the fascination of diving in all its many facets and offers the promise of adventure, both on water and land. The black and blue ceramic inlays on the unidirectional rotating bezel create striking highlights that harmonize perfectly with rose gold. Equally impressive is the black dial, which has a gleaming scale-like structure that creates myriad reflections similar to the effect of light striking the surface of the sea. One very special detail of the certified chronometer can be found on the titanium case-back : its surface features an iridescent relief depicting two rays, the symbols of the Manta Trust, which works to protect and conduct research into these majestic inhabitants of the world’s oceans. “The Patravi ScubaTec is made for explorers,” explains Sascha Moeri, CEO of Carl F. Bucherer. “Divers all around the globe explore the fascinating world below the sea’s surface.” Manta Trust’s objective is to preserve this habitat and protect the endangered manta ray. Through systematic observation and scientific analysis of this majestic sea creature, Manta Trust wants to raise awareness of the fragility of the underwater ecosystem. Carl F. Bucherer is supporting Manta Trust by becoming the patron of the two “ScubaTec” and “TravelTec” manta rays which were tagged as part of a research project.
