October 2013 : Sylvain Verdon, Antonio Calce, Laurence Graff, Le Dr. Renato A. Vanotti, Sylvère Demonsais

1. Sylvain Verdon becomes the new brand manager for Baume & Mercier Switzerland, for which he had been handling sales over the past two years after also serving the company as area sales manager in India and the Middle East.

2. In addition to his title as CEO of Corum, Antonio Calce is taking the head of Eterna, which he aims to revamp in time for the next edition of Baselworld – on the one hand by rationalising the range of references; and on the other by leveraging the synergies between the two brands.

3. Laurence Graff, President of Graff Diamonds, appears since this summer on the much-coveted Queen’s Birthday Honours list. He was awarded the Order of the British Empire, a distinction regarded as equivalent to the French légion d’honneur, in recognition of services rendered to the jewellery industry.

4. Le Dr. Renato A. Vanotti, who had thus far been involved in the holding company that owns Les Ambassadeurs, Jaermann & Stübi and Vulcain, has taken on the position of CEO for the brand with the famous cricket alarm movements.

5. Appointed CEO of Laurent Ferrier in August, Sylvère Demonsais notably built his career in the field of finance, including 17 years within the Richemont Group before moving on to de Grisogono and Greubel & Forsey where he was able to extend his fields of competency.

Brice Lechevalier is editor-in-chief of GMT and Skippers, which he co-founded in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
