Cyrus : Moon and Dragon

It might sound like the title of an oriental fantasy film whose heroes would doubtless wear one of these two models. Especially since the brand’s name is itself inspired by a famous conqueror of the Ancient World, Cyrus the Great. In actual fact these terms refer to the characteristics of the 2014 interpretations representing the two iconic Cyrus collections: the limited-edition Klepcys Moon Full Titanium and the one-of-a-kind Dragon creation from the Kambys line. Both are equipped with Manufacture-made calibers developed with watchmaking designer-developer Jean-François Mojon (winner of the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève). No need for 3D glasses to appreciate the décor and the 3D functions of the Klepcys, whose 390-part self-winding movement displays the patented indications in a highly innovative way. The retrograde hours are read off on the left-hand side of the dial ; the minutes and seconds disks operate on a movable axis also indicating the day/night by two rotating cubes ; while the other section stages an impressive spherical moon and a generous display of the patented retrograde date display with rotating tens digits. A case of what can happen when watchmaking history meets the history of humankind.
