While this is not necessarily a speciality in which Graff was expected to make a showing, the 15 or so new models presented at Baselworld 2013 include a Ultra-thin Mastergraff Tourbillon that springs a surprise by making its stage entrance as the thinnest flying tourbillon on the market, at just 3.5 mm. It took a full year of development to achieve this result, which notably incorporates a highly sophisticated ball bearing mechanism featuring tiny less than one-millimetre balls. The exquisitely refined shape of the Graff cases make the watch immediately identifiable, even at just 7 mm thick. Available in white or pink gold as well as in platinum and in a gem-set version, this limited-edition technical accomplishment is also distinguished by the omnipresent blue on the dial and strap, which will later be interpreted in other colours. The subtle visual effect of the elongated hour-markers sets the finishing touch to the harmonious aesthetic appeal of this latest addition to the Graff family.
