Just how far will they go ? To what level of complexity ? And where are the limits of slenderness ? Such are the kind of questions that one might rightfully ask oneself when reading off the vital statistics and characteristics of the new Hybris Mechanica 11 watch. With the Master Ultra Thin Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon – the other name for this concentrated blend of pure innovation – Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils its first ultra-thin Grand Complication model with a guaranteed ‘wow’ effect. The Hybris Mechanica 11 not only features an original tourbillon, a new high-performance balance-spring, a peripheral automatic winding system and a retractable single pushbutton, but is above all else the thinnest minute repeater in its category at just 7.9 mm in all. No less than 8 patents including 6 new ones are required to protect the precision and reliability of this timepiece issued in a 75-piece limited series.
