Premiers manufactures according to a one-of-a-kind overall concept, which we like to call “préservation historique”. Our watch artists create the finest unique timepieces, which honour the tradition and reputation of the “Haute Horlogerie Suisse” and duly transfer these values to the present day. The result: history and modern combined at a level of perfection that has never seen the light of day before.

 

At the heart of every Premiers is a genuine historical Swiss movement. In our very first collection, we perpetuate the almost 100 year-old “184-8-Day Calibre”, invented by the Swiss watch pioneers Josef Girard and Urs Schild and originally manufactured in of the birthplaces of the Swiss watch industry in Grenchen at the renowned “Schild-Eterna” watch factory since the beginning of the 20^th century.

 

The special feature of this historical movement lays in the long power reserve of 192 hours, that is 8 days, a worldwide sensation of its epoch. Furthermore, the accuracy of this movement is improved by the legendary “Courbe Breguet” a balance spring giving time rhythm and sets its rate – the essential key to a watch’s precision all along.

In countless individual working steps in our Swiss watch ateliers, these one-hundred percent genuine historical watch calibres are manually refined, engraved and guilloched in many elaborate production stages. In scope of all of these steps we involve authentic machines and original, artisanal working methods. In this way, every Premiers watch pays a vibrant tribute to the memory of the original Swiss Watchmaking. Inspired by this legendary tradition our timepieces suggest both a return to the origins and a vision of its future.
