Audemars Piguet : Gstaad Classic …

What participants will most remember about this second edition is the splendid itinerary and the bright sunshine. From Aigle Castle to the vineyard of Lavaux and a luncheon in the mountain village of Meiringen, the stop-overs were as pleasing as were the venues for the dinners, such as the luxury of the Grand Hôtel Park and the authentic, original meal enjoyed in the Glacier 3000 high-altitude restaurant in Les Diablerets.

Audemars Piguet CEO Philippe Merk welcomed a number of celebrity guests including Bernie Ecclestone, Richard Mille and Swiss Formula 1 racing driver Sébastien Buémi, ambassador of the Manufacture from Le Brassus. Various teams flying the brand colours were of course also in action : Nicolas Kappenberger, CEO of Audemars Piguet Switzerland ; Fabrice Deschanel, CEO of Audemars Piguet (Renaud & Papi) SA ; and Olivier Audemars, member of the Board of Directors and representing one of the founding families, were all on hand to show that the brand’s commitment to historical races is above all about a shared passion for fine mechanisms. To commemorate the event, Audemars Piguet created a 50-piece titanium limited-edition watch particularly appreciated by participants and called the Jules Audemars Gstaad Classic.
