Christened Bye Bye Euro, this limited series symbolizes an historical moment as well as dynamic responsiveness. Economic historians will remember the shock wave that hit the currency exchange markets on January 15th 2015, triggered by the Swiss National Bank’s decision to stop supporting the fixed-exchange rate of the Swiss franc against the euro, which plummeted from one day to the next from 1.20 Swiss francs per Euro to parity, compared with a 1.65 rate in January 2008. Collectors will keep these shredded euro banknotes scattered across the dial of this model, that is by definition unique, swept over with studied indifference by the hands of time. With ArtyA, devalorization acquires value and currency becomes a part of the 12th art. This tiny currency puzzle is presented in a steel and precious metal safe and the case inserts are made of the exclusive Artyor alloy. The timepiece is no longer merely man’s best friend, but now becomes his best investment.
