We were all aware of Robert Gruebel and Stephen Forsey’s fascination for the tourbillon. The two inventor-watchmakers have now turned their attention to another horological complication, the GMT. Just as one would expect, they have adopted an unconventional approach to this function, since Greubel Forsey has created a GMT watch with a dual time-zone display in the form of a three-dimensional spinning miniature globe performing a a complete 24-hour anticlockwise rotation, meaning in the earth’s natural rotational direction. Technique and poetry meet and mingle in this beautiful white gold model offering an appealing new interpretation of this useful and practical complication that is a real aesthetic delight.
