To mark the 80th birthday of its cult model, the Reverso, the Grande Maison in Le Sentier is introducing several refined and imaginative expressions of its expertise. After its successful interpretation of the current trend towards ultra-thin watches in the shape of the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin, Jaeger-LeCoultre provides an eloquent demonstration of its know-how in the field of sophisticated horological complications and case construction with the Reverso Répétition Minutes à Rideau. By sliding the pivoting white gold curtain alternately concealing one of the two dials, its wearer winds the minute repeater mechanism and can thus observe the action of the two small hammers. The Jaeger-LeCoultre engineers have considerably enhanced its acoustic properties by inventing a dual-axis construction featuring a special joint on a movable arm. The 340 parts of this new calibre are adorned with Clous de Paris, Côtes de Genève, circular graining, snailing, or feature a satin-brushed finish. The model is subjected to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s famous 1000 Hours chronometer test.
