Never afraid to venture into new territories, Frédérique Constant is moving ahead in two radical, bold directions. After years spent developing a mechanical Manufacture approach, the brand diversifies into the smartwatch venture. The Frédérique Constant Horological Smartwatch is the synthesis of high-tech innovation and traditional Swiss watch craftsmanship. It is the link between modern and classic, a bridge between Silicon Valley and Switzerland. There is no digital screen on the Horological Smartwatch. Instead, the hands display information in analog form. The Horological Smartwatches retain their natural classic beauty and deliver the benefits of the quantified self, all without ever having to recharge a battery. Powered by MotionX® technology, their patented sensor-fusion engine tracks activity and sleep patterns with high accuracy. Activity and sleep information are presented in real-time and data is uploaded from and downloaded to iPhone and Android apps.

A better life

This data will assist users in better understanding themselves, and along with appropriate goal-setting and intelligent coaching, will improve their well-being. Better sleep and a more active lifestyle are widely recognized as effective, positive behavioral changes. The Horological Smartwatch now combines the features and functionality of the MotionX® technology platform with a luxury timepiece. Frédérique Constant will offer different models delivering 24/7 activity tracking and sleep monitoring, with over two years’ battery life. The Horological Smartwatch has been available in stores worldwide as of June 2015.

Ladies’ choice

Frédérique Constant’s second approach is closer to its mechanical Manufacture track record. Women too demand the best and most refined things. The Slimline Moonphase Manufacture combines elegance with the technological innovation that has always defined the Slimline Manufacture range. This new striking timepiece offers the same features and functionality as the Slimline Moonphase Manufacture for men. But what attracts the attention is the 38 mm diameter case with its dazzling 60 diamonds. As any savvy watch collector understands, choosing a watch is as much about one’s physical features as it is about the watch itself. For smaller wrists, it is crucial to choose a watch that isn’t overpowering nor ill-fitting. The new Slimline Moonphase Manufacture will perfectly fit even the smallest hands. It is driven by the latest movement entirely developed by Frédérique Constant, the FC-703 Manufacture automatic calibre, with a 42-hour power reserve.

Versatile calibers

Women love Manufacture watches. Since 2004, Frédérique Constant has been consistently delivering timepieces with Manufacture movements that are in-house developed, in-house manufactured and in-house assembled. It is only logical that the brand developed this new, smaller Manufacture caliber. It features hours, minutes, date and moonphase, all adjustable through the crown. The Slimline Moonphase is presented with a polished rose gold-plated steel case. The domed silver dial is adorned with hand-applied diamond indices and is protected by a convex sapphire crystal. These stylish watches also have a sapphire case back that displays the performance of the FC-703 movement. Timeless but in the spirit of the time, the Slimline Moonphase Manufacture has both grace and actual practicality.
