Charity : Montblanc, Frédérique Constant

Montblanc & UNICEF

Following the first operation organised in 2009 and which earned UNICEF 4.7 million dollars, Montblanc launched a new project on its behalf in Los Angeles and Geneva, entitled : “Signature for Good”. To this end, different collections of writing instruments, leather goods and silver jewellery were created in tribute to UNICEF, and will be sold throughout the year in order to raise funds for the fight against illiteracy. Montblanc will donate 10% of the sale of each product sold, with a 1.5 million dollar minimum, and hopes to collect at least the same amount as the time before. This new Montblanc – UNICEF operation is patroned by actress and producer Hilary Swank, who visited Ethiopia to see a number of schools that UNICEF was able to build thanks to the first Montblanc “Signature for Good”. Mr Lutz Bethge (CEO, Montblanc International) and Ms Caryl M. Stern (CEO and President, UNICEF USA) were surrounded by a large number of personalities at this event.

Frédérique Constant & World Heart Federation

Working on behalf of associations fighting against cardio-vascular diseases since 2009, Frédérique Constant is active at two levels. For the next two years, top model and actress, Inés Sastre, a UNICEF representative, will become the Frédérique Constant ambassador for all its charity works, notably regarding the brand’s support to the World Heart Foundation. Additionally, Frédérique Constant is contributing to the Hearts of Children campaign. Following its cheque for 50,000 dollars to the World Heart Foundation last autumn, the Swiss watchmaker has launched a collection called the “Ladies World Heart Federation”, of which 100 models equipped with an automatic FC-310 Manufacture calibre will be given to the association to support the fund-raising efforts.
