Show time : Richard Mille / Jaeger-LeCoultre / Claret, MB&F, Urwerk, Speake-Marin

Richard Mille

It was the perfect physique of Baptiste Giabiconi, his unique style at the crossroads of rock and glamour, as well as his extremely endearing personality, that convinced Richard Mille to include him in its circle of ambassadors. 21 year-old Baptiste Giabiconi is currently the world’s number 1 fashion model, who has been Karl Lagerfeld’s muse since 2008. Within just three years, he has become a permanent fixture on the cover of the world’s greatest fashion magazines. Americans call him the most handsome Frenchman since Alain Delon. A genuine enthusiast of Richard Mille watches, Baptiste has chosen to wear an RM 020 pocket-watch and the Titalyt version of the RM 016 featured in the clip of his first single, “Showtime”.

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Design and the movie world were special guests on the Jaeger-LeCoultre booth at the SIHH. Two exceptional personalities closely linked to the Grande Maison in Le Sentier enjoyed a chat with its CEO Jérôme Lambert, who showed them the 2011 collection. Famous Australian designer Marc Newson, who used Baccarat crystal to create a “second skin” for the limited-edition Atmos 561 and 566 clocks, had a chance to see them surrounded by other extraordinary timepieces. Meanwhile, the German actress and brand muse Diane Kruger joined Jérôme Lambert in presenting the Grande Reverso Lady Ultra Thin to the international press.

Claret, MB&F, Urwerk, Speake-Marin

Their joint invitation to the Palace Hall at Baselworld requires no additional comment, but certainly reveals that devotees of grand complications can also cultivate a sense of humour!
