Hublot / Omega : Watches & water

Hublot & Bol d’Or Mirabaud
Hublot was chosen as official timer for the 75th edition of the world’s largest closed-water regatta, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud held on June 15th and 16th. Over 500 sailboats tacked around the “Hublot Barge” at the eastern end of the lake, specially equipped for the occasion with a giant clock indicating the mid-race time of each team. A titanium 75-piece limited edition of the Classic Fusion Chronograph commemorating the event set the seal on the partnership. Videos and results available on www.skippers.tv.

Omega & Yann Arthus-Bertrand
It was in the Cité du Temps in Geneva, that Omega choose to hold the Swiss preview screening of the film Planet Ocean, an exceptional and impressive documentary by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot. A superb public exhibition of photos was also on show from May 9th to June 9th. The famous photo–grapher and film director who strives to protect the planet said : “When OMEGA offered me the Planet Ocean project, I did not hesitate for very long ; it was time to look things in the face, to illustrate and denounce the dangers threatening our oceans, and thus our planet. This documentary is not about preaching, but about raising awareness.
